I work for a local security company who deal in alarm response and we take customer service very seriously, being as we are only small and still trying to get to the top we always take the clients need and satisfaction in to account at all times. Even if we were to become a large company we will always maintain the same level of customer service!

I used to work for ADT and saw first hand the number of complaints there were. Most of the time management was trying to find a reason not to have to take care of the customer and just cover their own butts.

I used to work for one of the largest alarm companies in the US and their customer service was horrrible. When a company gets really big the customer service suffers greatly because it becomes like a government organization. Too much "red tape" and too many employees who are just collecting a pay check.

There are also local companies that are horrible so make sure you do some research before signing up with any company. I would definitely recommend checking the company out on the BBB website. The BBB now has a grading system. Stick with a company that has an A- score or higher.
