I used to work for one of the largest alarm companies in the US and their customer service was horrrible. When a company gets really big the customer service suffers greatly because it becomes like a government organization. Too much “red tape” and too many employees who are just collecting a pay check.
There are also local companies that are horrible so make sure you do some research before signing up with any company. I would definitely recommend checking the company out on the BBB website. The BBB now has a grading system. Stick with a company that has an A- score or higher.

I used to work for ADT and saw first hand the number of complaints there were. Most of the time management was trying to find a reason not to have to take care of the customer and just cover their own butts.
